Peter McLeish, artist, is a resident of Quebec, Canada, who specializes in paintings and multi-media events which highlight the beauty of science. He has a Masters of Fine Arts (University of Guelph, Ontario). Recent shows have included "The Glory Project", at the Planetarium du Montreal, an art and music portrayal of the interplay between sunlight and clouds. His interpretation of sprites as art are presented here as they are being prepared for museum and gallery presentations in North America and Europe. The art & science collaboration based on Red Sprites project is included in a book by Dr. Michal Giboda called the Dialogue between the Sciences and the Arts.

Lightning’s Angels was shown on Feb. 20 to 23, 2003 at a science workshop called SPECIAL funded by the European Science Foundation in Frankfurt -Germany. This presentation was made possible by scientist Colin Price.

As part of Dr. Walter Lyons's annual grant report (regarding the collaboration) to the NSF, he included an update of Sprite activities which included a list of all events & awards from Peter McLeish between 2001-2003. The NSF included this update in one of their list programmatic highlights for 2003.
